Antique Toys Antique Toys
Bears love their toys, antique toys of course, and they look so cute displayed with them. All of the toys here will be of antique or vintage age, so expect age appropriate wear. Antique teddy bears are for display only and are not included in the item price.
' ANTIQUE GONG BELL GRANNY GOOSE PULL CART TOY ' ANTIQUE GONG BELL GRANNY GOOSE PULL CART TOY
Love this little goose cart to pull around teddies (teds not included). Made by the Gong Manufacturing Co. and called Granny Goose.  Granny's head is on a swivel bar that is attached to the back cart. Front has one small wheel and the back cart is on an axle of 2 wheels. When pulled along her head goes side to side. Nicely lithographed paper over wood. Some paper is missing and some staining on the red paper in the cart, as pictured, but overall pretty good. Tiny remains of a pull string. Marked Gong Bell but no date. Measures 12" long and inside of the cart is 6" x 3 3/4".
Price: $105.00

ANTIQUE BLISS STYLE WOOD LITHOGRAPHED DOLLHOUSE ANTIQUE BLISS STYLE WOOD LITHOGRAPHED DOLLHOUSE
The maker of this little 19th century dollhouse is unknown, but is in the detailed tradition of the early Bliss dollhouses. Love the small size, measures just 11” tall, 8” wide and 4” deep. It’s a two story wood house with wonderfully detailed lithographed paper covering three sides.  There is an elaborate pattern of bricks, shingles, windows with curtains and shades, door paneling, and a variety of window cornices. The entire front opens to two rooms, each with original wallpaper wall and floor coverings. Dollhouse is in good strong condition, hinges are good, little latch to open up the front. Lithographed paper is well worn, but still mostly intact. Just a couple of (continued on detailed description)

ANTIQUE DOG BELL PULL TOY ON WHEELS ANTIQUE DOG BELL PULL TOY ON WHEELS
This little dog pull toy probably dates to the early 1900's. He's like the Gong pull toys with the chime in the center of the wheels, but there are no Gong markings. The adorable little dog is mohair covered with glass eyes, embroidered nose and mouth and cute little ears and tail . He has a metal harness that attaches him to his wheel cart, with a little wheel in front as well. Looks like he had a collar at one time. Much of his mohair is missing, also missing paint on the metal wheels and rusty areas. Wheels are a little wobbly, but still sturdy enough to roll along nicely, chiming as it goes. Overall, 14" long and 7" tall. Teddy bears love to pull him along.
Price: $165.00

ANTIQUE ERZGEBIRGE GERMAN NOAH'S ARK WOOD TOY ANTIQUE ERZGEBIRGE GERMAN NOAH'S ARK WOOD TOY
This antique Noah's Ark was made in Germany, probably in the Erzgebirge area, circa mid to late 19th century. It's all hand made of wood and includes 11 wood animals and Noah. It's all been hand painted, with stenciled windows and roof. The roof opens up to play and store the animals. The roof hinges are original  cloth.  Ark is in good condition, some darkening and loss of paint, but color is still quite vibrant. The animals are all hand made of wood, painted and in good condition, one leg and one tail are broken. The ark measures 8" long and 2" tall. A delightful early German toy.
Price: $475.00

ANTIQUE GERMAN HORSE PULL TOY ON WHEELS ANTIQUE GERMAN HORSE PULL TOY ON WHEELS
Love these wonderful old pull toys, probably  late 19th century, maybe early 20th, most likely of German origin. He has mohair covering, or possibly brennessel, with a burlap type backing showing underneath the worn mohair. Pretty sturdy underneath, probably wood or composition. He has leather ears, or should I say 'ear', as one is missing. Tack eyes and wood sculpted nose complete his face. He has a real horse hair tail and looks like his mane was the same, although only a couple tufts of hair left. He is firmly attached to a wood platform with metal wheels, hole for a pull string, now missing. Platform is about 10" x 3" and he stands 11" tall. (continued on detailed description)
Price: $295.00

ANTIQUE GERMAN TIN TOY STOVE ANTIQUE GERMAN TIN TOY STOVE
This little toy stove was most likely German made, I'm guessing from the early 1900's, maybe even earlier. It's made entirely of tin with working doors in front. Body is painted green with a simulated brick design, also on the chimney. There's 4 little hooks on the top of the back splash for hanging utensils, also 2 large slits on top to set plates. 4 holes in the top for 'burners'. Measures about 4 1/2" x 7" x 8" tall. Green is in good condition, some alligatoring to the finish, with just a few small scratches. Rest of the tin is tarnished but in good shape. The front doors open and close well. One door latches good, the other is a little bent and doesn't match up (continued on detailed description)

ANTIQUE GIBBS WOOD HORSE & CART PULL TOY ANTIQUE GIBBS WOOD HORSE & CART PULL TOY
This is an antique pull toy, great for any teddy to pull his little friends around in. I believe it was made by Gibbs around the turn of the century. The horse is made of wood with wonderfully detailed lithographs. His legs are metal and are attached to the wheels to move back and forth when pulled. The wagon is also wood with metal wheels. It's in good working condition. The horse has had some repair in the middle. I think it's some sort of paint over the lithograph, not an actual repair to the wood. Two slats have also been replaced on the wagon. Entire toy measures 14" long, horse alone is 7". I would guess this to be circa late 1800's, early 1900's.
Price: $165.00

ANTIQUE ROOSEVELT BEAR TIN TOY STRING RIDER ANTIQUE ROOSEVELT BEAR TIN TOY STRING RIDER
This is a great antique toy, originating in 1907. Depicting one of the Roosevelt Bears, Teddy B & Teddy G, this articulated tin toy is a string rider. The weight balances the wheels riding on a string or wire and as the wheels ride along, teddy's articulated arms and legs pump back and forth. It's in great condition with nice vibrant colors, great detail on Teddy's face. Some tarnishing to the metal, wheels are a little bent. Has its original weight and works great. It measures 7" long.
Price: $255.00

ANTIQUE TEDDY BEAR BIKE & WAGON TOY ANTIQUE TEDDY BEAR BIKE & WAGON TOY
Bears have a riot taking turns driving and riding in this bike and wagon toy. First of all, I have to say that I'm not totally sure that this is of antique age. It appears to be...but reproductions are so good now that I'm not absolutely sure. To me, it didn't really matter when I bought it, as it is such a wonderful piece to display antique bears. The bike, wheels and frame are metal and the cart is wood. Front wheel turns right and left and the rear wheels are on an axle, all wheels turn. The wood wagon sits on a metal frame. Seat is an oilcloth, tacked on to the wood seat. The paint is really unusual, very dull and thick, with hand painted decoration. All in (continued on detailed description)

ANTIQUE VICTORIAN SCHOENHUT 'ALPHIES' ABC PICTURE BLOCKS ANTIQUE VICTORIAN SCHOENHUT 'ALPHIES' ABC PICTURE BLOCKS
This wonderful set of ABC picture blocks were made by the Schoenhut  Co. They were shown in their 1916 catalog and called 'Alphies', also marked with a 1916 patent date. They are cut out shapes with wonderful whimsical lithograph pictures on both sides of the blocks. Picture corresponds with letter, including animals and people. This is a set of 13 blocks which I believe was the original complete set as there's letters and pictures on both sides. Blocks are in very good condition. Lithographs have worn edges, but are mostly intact. There are 4 blocks pictured that have partially torn labels, one is completely missing. Each one measures 5" tall x 2" wide. A rare find.
Price: $345.00

VINTAGE TOY SMALL METAL RED WAGON VINTAGE TOY SMALL METAL RED WAGON
This vintage little red wagon is just perfect size for miniature teddy bears. It was probably made in the 1930's or 1940's, no maker marks. It's made of metal and painted red and black. Love the black fenders over the white hard rubber tires. The back axle is stationary, and the front one pivots back and forth. The handle also moves up and down. It's in good condition, some paint loss, but still pretty vibrant colors. The wagon without the handle measures 5" long and 3" wide. The little teds look so cute in it.
