Found 21 product(s) for Antique Teddy Bears (1-21 of 21)

Antique Teddy Bears Antique Teddy Bears
Offered here are antique teddy bears from the early 1900's through 1940's. All old bears have been left in pretty much as found condition, except for thoroughly cleaning and debugging each one. I love each and every one as they are, imperfections and all. All of their imperfections will be clearly noted and many pictures are available. Of course, all questions are encouraged. Since I feel bears should be seen and touched and held and talked to, your satisfaction is guaranteed, no questions asked. All props are for display only and are not included in the sale of the teddy bear.
"ERNIE" EARLY AMERICAN IDEAL ANTIQUE TEDDY BEAR "ERNIE" EARLY AMERICAN IDEAL ANTIQUE TEDDY BEAR
Ernie is a small little guy, but has huge personality. He's an early American Ideal bear and stands just 9 1/2" tall. His adorable little face just seems to smile at you...but how is that...he has no mouth! He has original boot button eyes set close together, embroidery nose which may or may not be original, ears set at the side of his head. His posture is not that great as his excelsior stuffing has settled in his upper torso. His beige mohair has quite a few bare areas, retaining I'd say about 70%. Original felt pads on all four, hole in one paw pad. Nice big feet and nicely sculpted legs. He has 5 claws on his one foot, missing on the other, 4 claws (continued on detailed description)
Price: $495.00

"NELLIE" ANTIQUE GERMAN PETZ TEDDY BEAR "NELLIE" ANTIQUE GERMAN PETZ TEDDY BEAR
Nellie is the sweetest little girl, all dressed up for the Holidays. She's a German Petz bear, probably circa 1920. She's a 23" girl with light gold mohair. Her sweet little face has a cone type nose with black floss nose and mouth that has a quirky little smile. She has amber glass eyes and her ears are sliced in.  Her felt paw and foot pads are all original and in good condition with no holes, 3 claws on each. Her mohair is faded with I'd guess about 75-80% coverage. She'll come to her new home with her little cotton smock but not her Santa hat.
Price: $455.00

'BERNARD' BRITISH ANTIQUE TEDDY BEAR CIRCA 1910'S 'BERNARD' BRITISH ANTIQUE TEDDY BEAR CIRCA 1910'S
'Bernard' is such a distinguished, grand looking fella. He is a British bear, circa 1910's. He has such an unusual looking face with sloping cone nose, little tiny glass eyes, linen nose and I love the way he's smiling.  He's a stocky boy and measures 23" tall, is firmly stuffed with excelsior, and has a nice large hump. His beautiful mohair is a light cinnamon color and he retains about 93% of his mohair with just general thinning throughout. He has felt paw and foot pads, which I believe have been replaced... (continued on detailed description)
Price: $590.00

'BONNIE' 1930'S GERMAN PETZ ANTIQUE TEDDY BEAR 'BONNIE' 1930'S GERMAN PETZ ANTIQUE TEDDY BEAR
'Bonnie' is such a sweet looking antique bear, most definitely a girl, just look at that adorable face. She is a German bear, made by Petz, circa 1930's. She is fully jointed and has short gold mohair, retaining approximately 90%. She has little glass eyes and embroidered facial features, 3 claws on each felt covered paw. Felt pads are original, however, thinning and holes in all paws. She has set in ears and is excelsior stuffed throughout. She measures 14" tall, just the right size to lounge on her favorite fainting couch. She'll talk to you for hours on that couch, as she still has a wonderful working growler.
Price: $430.00

'BRUNO' ANTIQUE AMERICAN TEDDY BEAR 'BRUNO' ANTIQUE AMERICAN TEDDY BEAR
Bruno is quite the stocky boy. I just love his husky body and short little arms and legs. He proudly stands 15" tall and is fully jointed. His beige mohair is in great condition with about 96% coverage, just a little thinning here and there. I'm not sure what his origin is, but I'm thinking he's an American bear from the 1930's. He has such an endearing face with big glass eyes and brown floss nose and mouth. His felt paw and foot pads are all original, with holes in the foot pads, one large one showing the excelsior, and thinning to the paw pads. He's firmly stuffed throughout with excelsior. His growler does not usually work, but if you tip him (continued on detailed description)
Price: $320.00

'CAT' ANTIQUE AMERICAN TEDDY BEAR 'CAT' ANTIQUE AMERICAN TEDDY BEAR
Cat sometimes forgets she's a teddy bear. She likes to hang out with Calvin the cat, hence, her name. This sweet little girl has the quirkiest little smile, made up by her twill fabric nose, embroidered mouth and upturned nose (although she's certainly not snooty!). She is probably an American bear, I'm thinking 1920's, but maybe earlier. She stands 17" tall and has short golden mohair. She has patches of mohair loss, mostly on the tops of her legs, back of her head and body. Her felt paw pads have been recovered some time ago and she has no claws. Cat likes to change her clothes often (you know how girls are!), so her dress will not (continued on detailed description)
Price: $390.00

'CORKY' EARLY MERRYTHOUGHT ANTIQUE TEDDY BEAR 'CORKY' EARLY MERRYTHOUGHT ANTIQUE TEDDY BEAR
"Corky" is such a fine old chap. English in origin, he is an early Merrythought bear dating to the 1930's. Although Merrythought dates back to the late 1800's, they didn't start making their bears until 1930. Corky is one of their early bears, still with original early label on his foot. Wonderful smiley face with glass eyes and embroidery nose and mouth and big ears. He still retains his original felt paw pads, although big holes, darned and sub stuffing showing through. Web stitching claws are somewhat intact, label is good...Merrythought Hygenic Toys Made in England. He has a tubby little tummy, and I love his big feet and stubby, (continued on detailed description)
Price: $295.00

'DOTTIE' ANTIQUE GERMAN PETZ TEDDY BEAR 'DOTTIE' ANTIQUE GERMAN PETZ TEDDY BEAR
Meet Dottie, an adorable German Petz teddy bear, I would guess from the 1920's. She stands 16" tall, fully jointed, and has light tan mohair. Her adorable smiling face has glass eyes and embroidery mouth and nose and I love her set in ears. My favorite thing about her is she talks super well. You don't even need to tip her over, just move her around  and her growler talks away to you. She has felt covered pads, her feet are original and her paw pads are replaced, 3 claw stitches on all four. Her head and arms have the best mohair coverage. Her body has about 60% coverage and sparse on her legs. Holes in her feet pads, one hole on her (continued on detailed description)
Price: $245.00

'FRANZ' LONG TIPPED MOHAIR ANTIQUE TEDDY BEAR 'FRANZ' LONG TIPPED MOHAIR ANTIQUE TEDDY BEAR
Franz has such a gorgeous gold mohair coat, lighter tipped at the ends. He retains virtually 100% of his beautiful mohair. He has tapering arms, which makes me wonder if he's a French boy, also tall and skinny, stands 14" tall. He has painted glass eyes and embroidered nose, mouth and claws, and is fully jointed. His pads are original felt, holes in three pads, two of them large, exposing his excelsior stuffing. He is excelsior stuffed throughout, very firm. A wonderful expressive boy. He is shown here with Calvin, who is willing to give up his favorite bear to a good home.
Price: $490.00

'FRITZ' 1920's GERMAN ANTIQUE TEDDY BEAR 'FRITZ' 1920's GERMAN ANTIQUE TEDDY BEAR
Fritz is a German teddy bear, born in the 1920's to 1930's. I love his quirky little smile, a little lopsided, which gives him such a cute little face along with his boot button eyes.  He stands 18" tall and has bright gold short bristle mohair, rather faded on his front side, still pretty vibrant on his back side. He is fully jointed and is firmly stuffed with excelsior. He has a part time growler, only will talk to you once in awhile. His original paw pads are felt with no holes. His mohair coat has much thinning throughout his front side and very good in back. He wears his little trumpet pin, which came with him long ago and has been with him ever since.
Price: $390.00

'GOOBER' ANTIQUE GERMAN PETZ TEDDY BEAR 'GOOBER' ANTIQUE GERMAN PETZ TEDDY BEAR
This is Goober. Goober is most surely a German Petz, made in the 1930's. He has such beautiful long tipped mohair, darker tipped on the ends. He likes to float around in the pool with ducky, whom he talks to all the time. Yes, Goober has a wonderful working growler. He measures 18" tall and I love his adorable upturned snout. His cute expression is black floss with glass eyes and he is fully jointed. His pads are all original felt, with thinning or holes in all four. His mohair is in very good condition with just a little thinning around his forehead and one large and one small spot on his tummy. Otherwise, mohair is very full.
Price: $450.00

'JUJUBE' ANTIQUE BRITISH TEDDY BEAR 'JUJUBE' ANTIQUE BRITISH TEDDY BEAR
Meet 'Jujube', the fluffiest little girl you'll ever meet. She is most likely of British origin, dating to the 1920's, possible 30's. She is a 15" bear and she has wonderful medium length golden mohair with excellent coverage. Just a tad of thinning here and there and one small bare spot where there is also a red spot on the fabric beneath. Her cute expression has glass eyes, shaved muzzle, embroidered nose...but oh, where's her mouth? All of her paw pads are original felt covered with some wear, but no holes. Her head is excelsior filled, while her body is soft stuffed. A real sweetie, sure to please.
Price: $295.00

'MAXIMUS' ANTIQUE GERMAN STEIFF TEDDY BEAR ON WHEELS 'MAXIMUS' ANTIQUE GERMAN STEIFF TEDDY BEAR ON WHEELS
'Maximus' is a grand looking Steiff teddy bear on wheels. His birth date is somewhere between 1926-1928 and he still retains his 'ff' button with long trailing 'f'. He likes to be pulled along on his red wood wheels with cast iron frame. He rolls freely on his wheels, although one wheel is a tad bent and doesn't lay quite flat. He measures 11" long and stands 9" tall. He is covered with beige mohair, retaining about 75%, and has 2 holes on his rear leg and one under his mouth, mouth is actually missing. He has glass eyes and is stuffed with excelsior. Such a handsome boy with (continued on detailed description)
Price: $1,900.00

'MOUSER' VINTAGE MOHAIR TEDDY BEAR 'MOUSER' VINTAGE MOHAIR TEDDY BEAR
'Mouser' is just a little guy, measuring 11" tall. He got his name 'Mouser' because of his mouse like ears, love those big huge ears. His arms are up in the air as if to say "Yeah". He stays in this happy position as he's not jointed. He has a cute little smirky expression with a felt and embroidered nose and mouth and big glass eyes. His mohair is pretty good on his front side with about 90% coverage, thinning at his seams and nose. His back side has much more loss, retains about 60% mohair. His face is a little smooched looking, but he's a cute little fun guy.
Price: $85.00

'MR. PETELHOFFER' ANTIQUE FRENCH TEDDY BEAR 'MR. PETELHOFFER' ANTIQUE FRENCH TEDDY BEAR
'Mr. Petelhoffer' is a fantastic French antique teddy bear, dating to the 1930's. He has gorgeous gold mohair with very little mohair loss, basically just a little thinning here and there. He's a full, stocky 22" bear filled with excelsior. His paw pads are all original with no holes, however, thinning down to the linen. I can't quite figure out the paw pad material...it's like between felt and suede, a reddish brown color. He has clear glass eyes and black floss stitching on his nose and cute little mouth, also claw stitching. Mr. Petelhoffer likes to play outside...he has soiling on his feet and the sun worshipper he is has faded his beautiful gold mohair. He's quite the grand looking boy.
Price: $945.00

'OSCAR' ANTIQUE AMERICAN TEDDY BEAR 'OSCAR' ANTIQUE AMERICAN TEDDY BEAR
Meet "Oscar", an American boy probably dating to the teens, maybe 20's. He has such a big head for his body. That must be why someone long ago stitched his head down, must have had trouble with his head joint. That's okay...his big button eyes can see everywhere. These were probably replaced as well. He must have been well loved in his life as I think his pads have also been replaced. Very old replacement with linen, all matching. He's a 23" bear with short golden mohair. Lots of his mohair is missing, especially on his back. He's stuffed with excelsior throughout. Settling to the excelsior on the tops of his legs & one arm. Don't let his stern look fool you, he's super friendly.
Price: $295.00

'PERCIVAL' ANTIQUE AMERICAN TEDDY BEAR 'PERCIVAL' ANTIQUE AMERICAN TEDDY BEAR
Percival is an American boy, I'm guessing from the 1920's. He has short golden mohair which is still quite full, a few bare spots here and there and a few spots of general thinning, but still very full coverage. He's been standing so long...he wouldn't even know how to sit! He likes standing because he has no leg joints, only jointed at his arms. He is firmly stuffed with excelsior as you can plainly see on his hands, which have pretty much completely lost their felt pads. But his felt feet pads are still intact. He has a little trouble with his ankle as he's been (continued on detailed description)
Price: $285.00

She has the sweetest expression with clear glass eyes and cute little embroidery nose and mouth, love her little smile. Clipped muzzle accentuates her nose. She has a couple of mended areas...one under her chin and one on her foot pad. Holes in 3 of her felt covered pads, excelsior stuffed. She still has pretty good mohair coverage, thinning and bare spots here and there. She stands 15" tall and will come with her cute little checkered dress.

Her sweet little face has large glass eyes and embroidered nose and mouth. She has an excelsior stuffed head and soft, but firm, stuffed body and limbs. She retains her original felt paw and foot pads, no holes. She's quite an exceptional girl.

'WINNIE THE POOH' VINTAGE BEAR 'WINNIE THE POOH' VINTAGE BEAR
ON LAYAWAY
Could any teddy bear collection be complete without a Pooh bear? I'm thinking not. This Pooh bear dates to 1964, the first year that Pooh bear was licensed to Disney, licensed to J. Swedlin and made by Gund. Still has his original tag. He's a 22" bear, made of gold plush. His adorable face has metal button eyes, pom pom nose and felt mouth. He still has his original Winnie the Pooh sweater. He has one hole on his neck, a smaller one on his leg, a little matting to the fur and a little fading. Sweater still retains its 2 shoulder snaps, a hole on the seam. A great vintage Pooh.

Hard to find these old hand muffs anymore. Her big red dress opens up to insert ones paws, with 2 snaps to close.
